WEATHER: It seems as if the weatherman was correct in his prediction so far today, as it is, in fact, mostly sunny. There is a small, cool breeze blowing, so it seems as if it may not reach the predicted 78, but we'll see. TRAFFIC: No reports of accidents in the Foothills today. OTHER NEWS AND TIDBITS:We were offline yesterday, due to a series of events. An AT&T Internet Router that feeds us the internet from San Francisco went down yesterday. Just as that came back online yesterday morning, a work crew in Fresno managed to cut a main line that feeds into our server, dropping all the connections to our server, as well as approximately 800 other people. It took AT&T several hours to reconnect each of the pairs of cables and bring everyone back online. EVENING UPDATE: We had a report that a mountain lion attacked and killed a 350 lb llama near the intersection of Auberry Road and Acorn in the early morning hours on Sept. 17th. Whenever possible, keep those pets indoors, especially at night.

WEATHER: The calendar says we're supposed to be having fall weather, but it was very spring-like in Tollhouse today, with a high of 87, and clear, blue skies. Check those heaters, though, as the nights are cooling off. Tonight is predicted to be 58, which is not too bad, however, we're expected to be about 10 degrees cooler by Sunday. TRAFFIC: According to the CHP website, there were a couple of accidents reported today. The first at about 1:30 pm, at Auberry Rd. just south of Frasier Rd. A solo vehicle went off the road, resulting in minor to moderate injuries to one person who was transported to the hospital. Then, at about 4:30 pm, a white Dodge 1/2 ton pick-up and a silver Toyota Rav4 collided on Auberry Rd., just west of Cherokee. There were no injuries in this accident. OTHER NEWS AND TIDBITS:We tried to get back on track last month, but things in life sometimes have a way of really upsetting the applecart. This month the Webmaster and Editor have been dealing with the Webmaster's father having surgery, which we understood to be successful, though all the lab tests had not come back. Then, unexpectedly, his father passed away. Subsequently, we've been dealing with the funeral arrangements, and all that stuff, and getting probate opened. For those of you out there that do not have a Living Trust - GET ONE! It's much easier, less complicated, and less expensive to deal with. We'll do the best we can to keep things going here, but I imagine we'll be a bit sporadic for awhile to come. Thank you all for your patience, kindness and support. The Editor.
